Perigueux is a large city and regarded as the capital of Dordogne.
The beautiful old part of the city, is tastefully renovated and now occupied by many cafes,
clothes shops and patisseries.
It is also a major working city and there are many new buildings, industries and businesses
that can supply most requirements.
Perigueux was originally a settlement by the Gauls,
later being inhabited by the Romans it became a major city.
