Many cottages and villas in the Dordogne region of France known as the Perigord are owned by English people, and there is a large community
throughout the Dordogne, or Perigord, that live in the area and enjoy the long warm summers and relaxed pace of life that France
has become so well known for.
The Perigord is divided into the Perigord vert and the Perigord noir. The Perigord noir is in the south of Dordogne, and probably
takes its name from the truffles that are collected in this particular region, whilst the Perigord vert, in the North of Dordogne
has more lush green foliage and enjoys more water than its neighbour in the South.
These are our sites that may be of interest from an artistic point of view; Please see here for Cornwater fine art, and work by the world renowned wildlife artist David Shepherd view
